What do you offer?
Our studio offers consultations, custom full builds, off-grid energy system design and installation, as well as third-party product and custom product installation. We specialize in off-grid power systems, heating and cooling, furniture-making, metal fabrication, upholstery, and more. We also retail several electrical and accessory brands. How much does a full build cost?
As a custom deign-build studio, we never say no to an idea, but we do price according to complexity, material cost, market changes, and labor. Pricing is unique to each project and can vary by a large margin depending on your wants and needs. We do not offer set pricing as that limits the customer and their imagination. How long does a full build take?
We estimate that a full build will take 4-6 months to complete. This depends on build complexity and availability of materials. Our industry is still greatly affected by supply-chain disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. We do our best to mitigate delays by ordering as many of the needed materials as possible within a six-week period that begins when the materials deposit has been fulfilled.
How many batteries do I need?
Having more batteries does not necessarily increase the power or functionality of your system. We design each system around your needs to make you as comfortable as possible and your power safe and reliable. Most clients fall in between a 400Ah and a 600Ah battery bank, with a wide variety of charing options to ensure your battery bank can be regenerated quickly and efficiently. How much solar do I need?
For full-time living, we recommend starting with 400Ah of lithium and 800 watts of solar. This will allow you to comfortably run your induction cook stove, diesel heater, and power your plumbing system in most conditions. Scale up or down from here, depending on your needs. However, the only way to get an accurate answer is to complete a power audit. From here, we can determine how much energy storage, inverter output, and charging speed you need.
How much does a solar installation cost?
Solar installs cost around $5kâ$40k depending on your desired level of autonomy from the grid. We use high quality components from companies such as Victron Energy, Solaria, Blue Sea Systems, and more. We can install most exterior and interior OEM and aftermarket products from a wide variety of companies that operate in the mobile marketplace. However, we only install items that have been purchased through Just Roaming, as we cannot warranty products purchased outside of our company.
